Bearing Strips FR 10
The Principal
FR 10 Elastomeric Bearing Strip is a linear membrane produced with the aim of supporting structures from lateral loads. This high quality reinforced elastomeric membrane will resist displacement, loads and rotation. The purpose of the design is to produce an enduring linear membrane for use in the construction industry wherever there is the need. Being in the highways or buildings such as high or low rise structure under the beam. FR 10 strip can be used where there is the need to control movements and some rotation, allowing tensile forces and horizontal movements to be absorbed. This will improve structural quality and ability to withstand lateral movements. The membrane is to carry the lateral forces allowing:
Â
- Building to escape damage such as cracks.
- Highways to withstanding horizontal movements.
Such compositions may be utilized on substrates which are subject to vibration and deflection, and are capable of recovering from deformation resulting from an elongation or change of temperatures. This product is suitable as a crack suppression membranes and floor leveling.
Design Features
The basic composition of the FR 10 strip are produced from Natural Rubber and layers of woven fabric plus other additives forming a tough and versatile module that can be used in the construction of building and civil engineering projects.

This membrane can be produced with FIBER GLASS allowing greater transition of up to 25mm.
Width
FR10 is manufactured in 1 M length with typical width of 100mm or 150mm. The width can be altered to suit the customer¡¦s requirement. Thickness Thickness of the membrane can varies between 5 to 40mm depending on the loads and displacements the membrane is subjected to. The typical thickness of this membrane is 10mm and can be designed to suit the customer¡¦s requirements.
Benefits
- Designed to accept movements
- The membrane can be used in high and low temperature.
- Can be designed for 100% humidity and temperature of up to 60 centigrade environments.
Installation of the membrane
I. Building structure: The membrane is positioned under the beam being concrete or steel. Concrete beam: place inside the bottom shutter where the load is being applied. Steel beam: there should be a gap of 1mm between the membranes with the steel beam. II. Highways: In the case of highways the membrane placed between the elements of the structure such as deck and a wing, etc. Specifications AssaFlex RF10 is manufactured to ASTM D/2240, 412, 395 specifications with Ozone resistance on ASTM.D/1171 allowing the membrane to be able to stand elements when used externally such as bridge, etc. AssaFlex FR10 can be manufactured to any standards requested by the customer.

FSM-Strip
A MEMBRANE TO USE IN PLACE OF GROUT FOR A VERIETY OF CONDITIONS IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF BUILDINGS
Design Features
A hardwearing and durable Reinforced Rubber membrane formed from elastomer, fabric and other additives. It is a versatile rubber system with unique flexibility properties that is designed to absorb the movements.
The purpose of the design after years of experience on rubber product is to produce a membrane to replace grout with two fundamental purposes:
Removal of the wet trade. Increase speed of the installation.
FSM- Strip is flexible enough to fill the concrete contour with other qualities where use of grout is required.
Application
Holding Down bolts Machine bedding and base plates Stanchions Cavity filling Etc
FSM-strip replaces the grout
By using FSM- strip, the client saves money and time, allowing one team to carry out the installation in one cycle, therefore increasing productivity.
Life Expectancy
AssaFlex FSM- Strip has very high life expectancy where grout shelf life would not exceed over 3 years.
FSM- strip is manufactured in 10mm, 20mm & 50mm thicknesses.
Production
The membrane can be manufacture according to the customers need, either in strip or in square. Where there are certain numbers of holes required, we can form the holes on receiving the relevant sketch
Benefits
Designed to accept movements Flexible & durable Where there is a need for Immediate high strength High tensile with vibration resistance Moisture resistance Can be used in freezing temperature Speed up the installation process by removing the wet trade hence saving time Economical Easy to use system
